Snapchat is introducing a slew of World Cup-related features ahead of the tournament to get users engaged in the competition. The features allow you to show your support for the various teams at the World Cup. The Bitmoji can be customized to fit the mood, rep the kit to your team virtually and catch some highlights on the app.
The app has partnered with a major kit designer Adidas, to let you dress your Bitmoji in official kits. You will get access to team-related stickers and emojis to share your support for the team on your snaps. The app is launching official team kit try-on experiences for users to show their fandom by wearing official team jerseys.
Users in the U.S. will have the chance to submit Snaps for a chance to win cash prizes for creating top-performing Snaps using specific Lenses, Sounds, or Topics on Snaps Spotlight. Snapchat Discover will publish highlights, goals, player interviews, match analysis, and behind-the-scenes content during the tournament in over 30 countries.
The maps will allow users to share stories of watching and celebrating moments of the games. It allows users to tag their snaps can be seen publicly. Stories will include Snaps from watch parties, fan experiences, reactions in the stands, game highlights, and more.
