Ottonomy.IO is a New York-based start-up that is working on solutions product delivery with autonomous robots. The company recently gained $3.3.m in see funding with which they plan to increase their market and delivery robots to its customers.
The company was founded in late 2020 by Ritukar Vijay along with Pradyot Korupolu, Ashish Gupta, and Hardik Sharma. The robot is made by the company and equipped with the sensors like 3D LiDAR and cameras. Ottonomy.IO has a current staff of 25 people across India and the US. They also write programs and AI algorithms to help their complex robots function.
Ottonomy.IO is focused on curbing the rise of the demand for labor in the delivery industry which has caused an increase in fees. The current demand has caused a substantial increase in labor fees which has affected consumer fees. This makes it difficult for customers to provide the same service they received just a few months prior. It has also affected last-mile deliveries. Curbside and indoor deliveries are also a focus of the company something that has seen a rise recently.
The robots use high information mapping of the serviceable delivery areas to navigate and get products to customers. QR codes are provided to customers at the time of order which is required to get access when deliveries are fulfilled. Ottobot 2.0, the latest iteration of the autonomous robot comes with a customizable modular cabin, an increase in mobility; a side-walking feature, and customer access. These updates make it easier for persons with disabilities to use.

The company is aware of its competitors and sets itself apart by offering both indoor and outdoor deliveries something that is a rarity. The focus is on markets where delivery comes at a high cost. They’ve already deployed robots in Cincinnati International Airport and are in talks with others to expand across others in Europe and US. Working with airports at the moment is a strategy to get the public attention.
