After unveiling the option to rename linked devices, WhatsApp is preparing to release a new feature for businesses today that provides additional information about the sender of their outgoing messages on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop!
WhatsApp is constantly working to improve the multi-device experience. Businesses using the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, iOS, and Desktop can now see new information about their outgoing messages if they have multiple devices attached to the same account, starting today:

Every time you send a message through WhatsApp Business, you can read the name of the device from which the message was sent immediately within the message details, as shown in these screenshots.
The message in the screenshot acquired from WhatsApp beta for Android, for example, was sent from a paired device labeled “macOS.” Instead, we sent the message from that device in the other snapshot captured from WhatsApp beta for iOS, so we could view the push name. The word “Admin” also shows that the message was sent from the primary device.
Because this is a commercial tool, this feature will not be available to regular WhatsApp accounts. Furthermore, information about the message’s author will only be shared with those who are linked to your WhatsApp account.
Businesses using the current version of WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and desktop are now able to use this capability, with more activations scheduled in the coming weeks.
