Although Facebook Dating does not appear to be as popular as other dating applications, the business is adding new features to make it more useful for virtual dating, which has exploded over the pandemic.
Audio dates is one of the most exciting new features, which allows you to start an audio discussion with someone you’ve matched with. When you try to initiate a call with someone, you will be prompted to invite them. If they agree, you can have a conversation together.
In Facebook Dating, you may also set up to two extra locations where you want to browse for matches. The function, dubbed Match Anywhere by Facebook, should make it easier to connect with people who are working or living in different regions on a temporary basis, or who frequently travel between them.
According to Facebook communications employee Alexandru Voica, the firm is also launching a tool called Lucky Pick, which “allows daters to examine alternative compatible candidates who may be outside their regular preferences.”
Facebook Dating isn’t the company’s sole dating app; in April, the company’s NPE Team, which develops experimental apps, debuted Sparked, a four-minute video speed dates.
