
YouTube introduce its platform called YouTube Shorts in US on March 18 this year.
The short videos appear in YouTube’s mobile app similar to its rivals TikTok (Instagram and Snapchat), users can swipe from left to right in an endless full screen feed.
The online video giant, YouTube has announced today that they have introduce $100M funds on its Platform called YouTube Shorts.
The $100M funds will be use to improve YouTube Shorts platform so that it can compete with its rival TikTok.
The online video giant, said the $100M YouTube Shorts Fund, will be used to pay YouTube Shorts creators for their most viewed and most engaging content in the coming years on the platform.

According to YouTube, Creators on the YouTube Shorts platform can’t apply for the fund to help with content production, however.
Instead, YouTube will check creators every month to see who videos meets requirements so that they can reward the creators for their contribution.
Thousands of YouTube Shorts creators could get paid each month, YouTube says, and everyone is qualified to post on YouTube Shorts Platform.
The requirements concerning posting videos on YouTube Shorts should be videos of original content and should follow YouTube guidelines and policies.
Guidelines about the payment for contribution and qualification to the YouTube Shorts platform will be communicated to creators in the coming months.
Snapchat is one of the best leading social media app which pays over $1 million per day to its creators on the platform or their most viewed videos on Spotlight,

TikTok also announced its fund would increase to over $1 billion in the U.S.
Since the time YouTube Shorts platform was introduce, YouTube has has added some features to Shorts app, which includes,
ability for users to add captions, users can record up to 60 seconds with the built in Shorts camera, also users can add clips from their gallery to their recordings made with the Shorts camera.
Some filters also has been introduce to correct the color of users videos.
YouTube says more improvement will be deploy in the future to compete with other social media platforms.
