With Apple’s latest update on its iOS, various apps have moved to create custom widgets for the new updates. Google’s YouTube Music joins in with its widgets. “Recently Played” can be added to a user’s lock screen to quickly access recently played songs, albums, playlists, and videos.

The widget comes with a 2×1 widget feature. It displays the name of the song, album, artist, playlist, or song radio. The 1×1 widget shows the song name, and similar to YouTube Music’s home screen widget, users can click on the widget to start the audio.

The new widgets can be added by taping and holding the Lock Screen to bring up the Edit menu and then select Customize. Users tap the row where they want to add or swap out widgets and select YouTube Music. Close the Add Widgets panel and tap Done to save the changes.
