Apple is gearing up for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2025), scheduled from June 9 to June 13. During this highly anticipated event, CEO Tim Cook is expected to introduce iOS 19, the next major update for iPhones. While Apple has not officially confirmed details, a fresh report indicates that iOS 19 will not support the
iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. However, iPhones currently compatible with iOS 18-except these three models-are expected to receive the update.

iOS 19: Expected features and leaks

iOS 19 is anticipated to bring the most extensive visual refresh since iOS 7. Reports indicate that Apple is redesigning the interface to resemble visionS, the operating system used in the Vision Pro headset. This update is expected to introduce translucent controls, a revamped Camera app featuring a larger viewfinder, and an improved notification system. Apple’s built-in apps will also adopt this new design language, giving iPhones a fresh and modern appearance.
Additionally, Siri is set to become more intelligent and personalised with iOS 19. The upgraded virtual assistant will be able to understand user context more effectively, drawing relevant information from emails, messages, and other apps to deliver more accurate responses.
