WhatsApp has received a new update via the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the current version to 2.22.14.6.
What’s new in this version of the game? For a future update of the app, WhatsApp is working on a new tool to manage group requests utilizing a group membership approval option.

WhatsApp is developing new group features. WhatsApp is working on a new tool to help group admins manage their groups better, following the release of the option to add up to 512 individuals to groups. The company is working on a new option called “group membership approval” in particular:

When group admins enable this feature, all persons who want to join the group via a group invite link must be manually accepted by a group admin, as shown in this screenshot, and this event will appear in the group chat. In fact, a new area will be added to the group details page where group managers will be able to manage all incoming requests from users who wish to join the group.
To enable the ability to approve group requests, group admins will need to toggle this functionality right within group settings.

In addition, WhatsApp’s latest version includes some new gender-neutral emoji.
The new permission procedure for group membership is currently being developed and will be introduced in a future version. If you appreciate this feature, come back to our page often to see when it becomes available!
