LG has shut down production of smartphone business today.
Earlier this year, LG said they will stop production of smartphones to focus on smart homes and robotics.
LG leaving the smartphone market productions is not surprise because LG has struggle to compete with other tech giant companies like Apple, Samsung making it difficult to get consumers to buy their LG smartphones.
The Vietnam-based factory will apparently move in production of home appliances.
LG’s factory in Vietnam was the main factory for smartphone production.
According to LG their factory in Vietnam will be use in the production of household appliance production.
LG will fully depart the smartphone market on July 31 according to the company.
According to LG the company will provide 3 years updates on its Android smartphones which has been released already.
