When entering into an account, WhatsApp plans to make some significant changes. For a future release of WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS, the business is working on a new feature that adds an extra layer of protection before signing into a WhatsApp account!
WhatsApp is constantly working to improve the app’s privacy and security. Following the release of the ability to customize our privacy settings by excluding certain people from seeing our information and the extension Code Verify to check the integrity of our WhatsApp Web version’s code, the company is now working on another feature to improve user security on WhatsApp by requiring a double-verification code!

We’re attempting to register our phone number on a separate phone, as shown in this screenshot. Any successful attempt to log into our WhatsApp account from another device will require an additional verification number to validate when the service is available to beta testers.
Why? Last year, we revealed the true tale behind hijacked WhatsApp accounts: consumers were duped into giving away their 6-digit number by a fake or stolen account. WhatsApp is currently working on a solution to prevent users who may share their 6-digit code inadvertently.
When the first attempt to log into a WhatsApp account is successful, a 6-digit code is required to finish the process; in this case, a message is sent to the owner of the phone number to notify them of the attempted login. As a result, people will be aware that someone is attempting to log into their account using WhatsApp, and they will refuse to provide the second verification code required to complete the operation.
We believe that the double verification code can truly be a definitive solution to protect accounts from being stolen when two-step verification is not activated, and that WhatsApp is the first instant messaging program to implement this functionality. Unfortunately, it is still in development, therefore we do not know when it will be launched, just like every other feature listed on our page. We will publish an article as soon as we have more information.
