Google has introduce a feature called Locked Folder in its Google Photos app which will allow users to hide sensitive photos and videos.

This features was just announced in Google I/O 2021 together with other security features on the 18th May 2021.

According to Google with the Locked Folder in google photos users can add photos to a passcode protected space which users can use fingure print or password to authenticate before the Locked Folder opens.

After Authentication with the correct credentials users can now throw in sensitive pictures and videos into the locked folder and they won’t show up as you scroll through Photos or other apps on your phone.

Google Photos will use AI to resurface important moments and bring your memories to life in new ways. All while giving you more control, so you can choose what you want to relive.

Another feature introduce in the Google photos app is about screenshots. According to Google If you screenshot something (say, because you think you might want to buy it later), you can now search within screenshots using Google Lens, the company’s visual search technology.

Locked Folder will be on Google Pixel first, and more Android devices throughout the year.
