WhatsApp has a history of abandoning support for older versions of Android and iOS in order to launch new features that may not operate on older operating systems. In this scenario, WhatsApp has announced that it would no longer support iOS 10, iOS 11, iPhone 5, and iPhone 5C in the coming months.
Many users claimed that WhatsApp was intending to stop supporting iOS 10 at the end of last year, however this was false information. Unfortunately, WhatsApp is intending to discontinue support for specific iOS versions in the next months owing to internal reasons: we’re talking about iOS 10 and iOS 11!

According to this screenshot, WhatsApp will no longer support iOS 10 and iOS 11 after October 24, 2022. This is also corroborated by an article on the official WhatsApp Help Center, which lists iOS 12 and later versions as compatible and recommended operating systems.
If you’re running iOS 10 or 11, you’ll need to upgrade to iOS 12 to keep using WhatsApp: this means you can keep using WhatsApp on your iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6S, but you’ll need to update your iOS version.
Because iOS 12 is not yet available for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C, WhatsApp will no longer be compatible with these devices.
However, who uses an iPhone 5/5C nowadays? Support for certain iOS versions must be removed in order to support WhatsApp’s most recent features. You get the most recent security updates by updating to the most recent iOS version, therefore updating iOS is always recommended.

Tnx for the update bro
