We mentioned the ability to view previous group members via a new option displayed within group info in the article on the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.16.0.70 update. In fact, WhatsApp is exposing this feature to a select group of beta testers who download the most recent beta build from TestFlight!
This snapshot shows a new option that allows us to find group members who have departed or been deleted in the previous 60 days at the end of the list of participants. Since everyone who has the functionality enabled for their accounts can access this section, group administrators are not the only ones who can access the section for previous participants.
But that’s not all; while those who left or were kicked out of the group are listed here, the chat window no longer displays this event (except for group admins because of moderation reasons).
Today, this feature was made available to a select group of beta testers; subsequently, further activations will take place over the ensuing weeks.
