After years of anticipation, WhatsApp for iPad may soon be available. Facebook has been working on multi-device compatibility for a few months, and Mark Zuckerberg has already hinted that the app would be coming to Apple’s tablet, and now there is even more evidence.

WhatsApp is finally working on multi-device 2.0, according to WABetainfo, and users will be able to utilize an iPad as a new linked device.

According to the website, WhatsApp for Android will enable multi-device functionalities for Android tablets as well. Facebook is currently preparing to roll out multi-device compatibility for up to four devices and one smartphone.

This feature would allow consumers to use WhatsApp “without the requirement to have your phone connected,” according to a WhatsApp spokeswoman in an interview with TechRadar.

Multi-device means that users will have access to the same features as the current public versions of WhatsApp Web, Desktop, and Portal, but without having to connect their phone. People who utilize Desktop/Web and Portal will see an immediate improvement in their experience thanks to our multi-device functionality. It will also allow for the gradual addition of compatibility for other types of devices.“

Users will be able to stay connected to WhatsApp even if they don’t have their phones with them or if their handsets’ batteries run out. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now working on an iPad app, which will be published “in a future update.”

According to the website, this will be a native program that will run independently from your iPhone, and individuals who are currently testing WhatsApp beta will be able to use the app on iPad in the future.

Not only that, but the app’s TestFlight beta just received another update. WhatsApp’s contact information for iOS has been redesigned to business contacts with version 2.21.170.12. This upgrade will make information about a business account more visible, and it will be easier to send a message, phone, or share contact information.
