According to supporting documents (via Liliputing), if your device is still running Android 2.3.7 (the final version of Gingerbread) or earlier, from September 27, Google will not allow you to log in to your Google on this device account.

The company said: “As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure user security, as of September 27, 2021, Google will no longer allow login to Android devices running Android 2.3.7 or earlier.”

“If you log into your device after September 27. When you try to use Google products and services such as Gmail, YouTube, and Maps, you may receive an incorrect username or password.”

To inform you of the age of your device affected by this change, Android 2.3.7 was released almost 10 years ago.

But since there are currently more than 3 billion active Android devices, this change may affect some people who may still be using the old technology.

According to Google, if you are using Android 2.3.7 or earlier after the September 27 deadline, you can still use some Google services if you log in to your device’s browser.

But the company says that devices running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) can still log into Google accounts, so if your old device can be updated, you might want to do this.
