What has been added in this update? For a future app version, WhatsApp is working on sending view-only text messages!

We mentioned a new feature that has been made available to some beta testers in the article on the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.13 update: a new presentation sheet. By using the presentation sheet, WhatsApp hopes to let users know that shared, forwarded, copied, and saved photographs and videos cannot be screenshotted by the recipient and cannot even be shared.
We learned another thing regarding view once after releasing the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.20 update on the Play Store: WhatsApp is working on adding the ability to send view once text messages to a future version!

This screenshot demonstrates the new special button that has been added next to the chat bar. The send button contains a lock symbol, which indicates that you are sending a view-once text, if you look at it closely. What, though, is a view once text? As you might expect, when the recipient opens the message, the view once text vanishes from the conversation and cannot be viewed again. The arrangement of the view once text bubble and the send button may change before the feature is released because it is still being developed.

This is really helpful when you need to transmit very sensitive information and you want to promptly delete them from the recipient’s phone for increased privacy. Since it will be deleted automatically, you don’t even need to delete the see once text for everyone. View once text messages cannot be forwarded or copied, just like with view once photos and videos. Screenshots should also be prohibited, but we’ll check this when a new update is released.

The Android beta version of WhatsApp will soon receive an upgrade that will allow users to send view-once text messages. As always, when this function is accessible, an article will be posted on this page.
